I've been trying to add more variety to my fish feeding with frozen foods. Frozen blood worms are a big hit, but the other things I've tried don't seem to work very well. I got daphnia and brine shrimp and they are so small that the fish can't seem to get the food in ther mouths. It is like they know it is there and they frantically swim through the cloud of food, but don't actually eat hardly any of it. I've only been getting Hikari brand so far. What other foods are good to try for the fish below?

yoyo and kuhli loaches
lemon, serpae, neon, and black skirt tetras
cories
bn and common pleco

I mix cyclopse eze in with a flake or dry food then feed to the fish once a week. It's a SW and FW food (according to the label ) with the consistancy of a flavor-ice. When it thaws out it can be mixed with a dry food then refrozen for later. My LFS sells it for around $10 a pouch.

about once a week I feed my fish i think it's called emerald entree, made by san fran. bay or something like that. i drop a half a cube in and kinda push it down to the bottom... my yo-yo loaches go crazy over it. the little pieces that fly away are eaten by my rasboras. then the yo-yos will dig around the spot i put the cube for hours, eating up all the extra bits.

i always make sure to do it the day before i vaccum the tank bottom though. i dont know how much gets away from them but i dont wanna risk algae blooms.

Try Mysis shrimp. My fish all love it. It's a freshwater shrimp found up in Canada I believe. From the reading I've done about it it's really good for them as well.

I'd also suggest the mysis shrimp.. I use it in all of my tanks and the fish go nuts for it.. Daphnia works for my fw tanks as well, but it did take a little time for the fish to become accoustomed to eating it.. The diamond tetras in one of my tanks especially like daphnia cubes..
