First time I ever saw a killi for sale at the pet store so I had to buy him of course. He's not the most attractive but I like him. So any info about this guy? Right now he's in a 30 gallon community

I never kept killies but have the opportunity to get either aphyosemion australe or fundulopanchax gardneri n'sukka and mine would be in a community tank as well.

What other fish are in your 30g and how are they getting along with the new addition? Do you plan to get a female?

From all the info I've gathered (I too am new to killis) they do best in a species tank. It doesn't have to be big either.. I have 4 aphyosemion australe in a 5 gallon that's well filtered and has lots of plants. You should considering trying out something like that...

gnr4ever8794, any chance you could snap a picture of your new killi? I'd like to see what he looks like.

they're in there with a few platies, a yoyo loach and a weather loach for now and so far he's pretty nice. I've read that they actually like a big tank to swim in and do pretty good in a community tank.

I might try to get a female...might give me some project for the summer oughta be fun.

I'll get a picture soon...I don't know how soon, but soon.
