I'm tired of my lfs not having the species I want. Anyone buy recently online and have a good experience to share.

What species do you want?

I don't have any experiences myself, but I've got links to sites people have had good experiences with.

Right now I'm looking for German Blue Rams and a bunch of cardinals.

You want to be careful with those -- they're both rather delicate, and at least one general pet-store company refuses to ship Cardinals for that reason. Moreover, in my experience Rams are a lot more delicate than Cardinals and so presumably would ship worse. My advice is to have your LFS special-order them.

I bought a couple pairs of Appistos on Aquabid and they got here hale and hearty. The guy I bought mine from was Apistodave. I think his website is softwatercichlids.com.

I say go for it.

Good luck, Mike

ps. Weve got a trading thread going in classifieds. You might post there saying you want Rams, Somebody might have a batch and ship you some for something you've got.

I've ordered from [link=AquariumFish.net]http://www.aquariumfish.net/index.html" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link] and [link=LiveAquaria.com]http://www.liveaquaria.com/" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link]. AquariumFish has no minimum order, shipping is $24.75. LiveAquaria has a minimun order of $29.99 and shipping costs $24.99. I had no problems with either.

I've also purchased fish online from a breeder, and once from AquaBid.
