last weekend I was garage saleing and found.....
3 2 gallon tanks,
a penguin mini,
a net,
an algae scraper,
a hood with lights (for one of the 2 gallons),
a 7"x4.5"x5.5" critter keeper,
a bunch of gravel,
goldfish flakes,
tetra flakes,
2 3" goldfish (now in a pond)
3 blackskirt tetras (now in 55 gallon)
All for $15 dollars!!!

and today I was in petco and they had a convict cichlid with tons of babys. I asked what they were doing with them and they said if I wanted them before Daddy ate them they were free! I now have 12 baby convicts in with my 5 2 week old guppy fry. I am currently fishless cycling a 10 gallon, and have a very empty 55 gallon for them to move to. (probably will trade most of the convicts back to the lfs)

WOw you are one lucky fishkeeper! I do not want to know how much all of fish spending adds up to over the life of my tank!

Nice job bargain hunting there. I wish my Petco would give me free fry...

I wish my petco (where I work) had any fry... (we only have one convict cichlid that recently killed a mysteriously appearing Brochis splendens the other day... we don't sell Brochis splendens... beats me what it was doing in a tank with a convict...

My co-worker thought it was an emerald cory... I knew that was wrong... I remembered it started with a "b"... took a half hour to remember it was "Brochis"

The store I work at is so cheap that we won't even give customers nasty black beard algae to them for free if they request it (which oddly enough is quite often).
