Are the bars vertical? If they are just let her out and leave her out, I did it with mine and it was a week before they bred.

you will want the same male, because both need to be ready to be parents. The female may hide from time to time, but if you leave them alone, they will most likely breed.

How long has she been out? Just give them some time. If they don't spawn within 3 days then take them out and re-condition for a few days and then try agin.

well i stopped the breeding, because i saw her this morning and she was a MESS she had whole chunks missing from her fins and the male was too aggressive, i could here him hit the bottom and sides when he attacked, after he got her under the nest insted of breeing he bit her and chassed her away, now its a hospital tank treating an oscar and 2 tiger barbs for ick

well it turns out they did spawn, but it was a practice i quess, but either way i needed the tank, and i know he will be a great fater after i took the nest out and put it with him he caught all the falling eggs, pout them back up in the nest, but i dont think the were fertile, will they do it quicker next time now that they know?

Most of the time once they have spawned it will go quicker.
