Also, by answering your own post, you made it less likely to get someone involved. Many people look for posts that have "zero" replies when they come into a forum. Always edit your post and leave the replies at zero. My rule of thumb is that any fry should be larger than could possibly fit into the mouth of fish already in the target tank, not by a little, but by a visible amount. |

Diane is right, but I would wait for the babies to get bit larger. Even if the adults can't eat them, they will chase the babies around like crazy. It's highly stressful. Wait until you can see some colour on the fish then put it back with the adults. |

Posts: 2623 Kudos: 2462 Votes: 337 Registered: 29-Mar-2003 ![]() | I wasn't gonna look at this because of how many posts it had ![]() OK if it is a matter of room so you have room for new fry, be sure to have plenty of plants in the adult tank. I do agree I wouldn't put them back until they are about 0.75-1.0 inch, since you have taken the time to take them out and raise them. Otherwise leave them in the fry tank...it won't do any harm to let them get some color and size to them. But, since you are trying to raise fry, go ahead and plant the adult tank also, so if there is a drop in the tank the fry have a place to hide...
