Even though they are a pain in the butt, Brown Ramshorn Snails absolutely LOVE Hair Algae, brown algae(diatoms), and pretty much any other type of algae. They will clean it up in no time, and keep it under control. The long fin variety are very nice looking and they are nicely active and a great addition to any planted tank. HTH....
