Hello again long time since I have been on but I have a very important question.

I have a 29 gallon with 2 angelfish 2 african butterflyfish and 10 corydoras,

I also have a 50 gallon with 4 RTBS,

The question is can I move the sharks to the 29 gallon and the 29 occupants into the 50????

If you can let me know soon it would be greatly needed as we are moving things around and getting our carpets cleaned We have a great place for the 50 but the sharks don't show it off well

Thanks a ton anyone,
Angel Eel

Well I think the occupants of the 29 would love the 50 gal- but id spread those RTBS out between tanks that are 29 galls or more- as they grow they wont tolerate each other, and chances are youll end up with only one.

Id put one in the 50, 1 in the 29- and try to find places for the other 2.

An RTBS is a Red-Tailed Black Shark if I'm not mistaken. I thought a 29 was too small to keep one? I was under the impression they needed more room. But I could be thinking about trying to keep more then 1.

Yes a RTBS requires more than a 29g tank. Those fish get quite hefty when they get older. I think a 50g is about minimum for 4 of them.

if possible i would leave the rtbs in the 50 gallon, and move the african butterflys to the 50 also.

I absolutley Love my abf. Hope you love them too. I have had my afb with a rtbs and rbs for awhile now and they are doing great! I would keep the abf and rtbs together as they keep away from each other and do quite well in the same tank.

I would trade at least 2 RTBS & get something different & compatible.
