I have a 55gln tank and a 10gln and two eels 1 is a big biker and the other I don't know its brown with a pointed nose. I think they mated two times with about 400 babies each time they die in top filter so i don't run it. Can anyone help me? I am new to tanks about 9 weeks in. Babies look like the big biker eel or so they called it that,Its white and the babies are to,But they look like the brown one.

the eels are probably a similar or the smae species with sao differeing physical attributes. one might be albino and have a short nose for example. this would allow them to breed. Now if you are having babies that is a good sign. it means you are doing it right! although you should research the proper care fo the babies to ensure that you are caring for them properly. If you want tot keep the babies you may need to buy another large tank, but if not there are many ways to euthanize a fish. alchohol bath, freezer, clove oil, and etc... you could also feed small babies to a larger predatory fish or a fish that can consume all of the babies (a betta or cichlid could feast upon them depeding on their size).

Can you give us some pictures and tank parameters...

you may want to use some sort of sponge filter to ensure the water is filtered and the water is moving....
