I just bought 6 diamond tetras today, after putting them in the tank I realize they just don't turn my crank. I would rather trade them in for the 7 congo tetras they had in stock...anyone else ever done this? Will your lfs usually accomodate you for trades?

Usually fish stores will accept fish back that are not assimilating into the tank in a friendly way, so it might be possible to return them for that reason, but im not sure about what you want.

I don't think they'd have a problem with it, as long as you bring a sample of your water so they know you didn't poison them or anything. Most stores are willing to accomodate you, or so I've found. The worst that can happen is they say no. *shrug* I think it's worth a try...go for it.

call first, explain your situation, and let them decide. more than likely you'll be able to take them for credit. However, you probably won't get credit for the full amount you paid, unless you're a cool pet shop employee like i was.
