I just lost a majority of my first tank of fish to Ick and New Tank disease. I've got advice on how to prevent more losses, and now I need to get more fish soon. I'm sure a lot of you have some wonderful ideas on what to get. I don't have a lot of money, so I need some inexpensive, colorful, and reletivly low-maitenance fish. (Not all goldfish!) I have two guppies that survived so I will have them in the tank as soon as it's ready. If you all could suggest what fish and how many to balance, I'd really really really appreciate all of your expertise.
Thanks!:88)

You can't have goldfish in a 20 gallon tank anyway minimum tank size is 75.

Price on fish varies depending on region...but most places carry zebra danios, they're the best for cycling. If you've got a male and a female guppy you might just want to let them handle the stocking .

Have a look @what's available in your LFS and make a note of what strikes your fancy (and your budget ) then get some more information on them from [link=the profiles]http://www.fishprofiles.com/profiles/" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] here.

I already know how to cycle, so I need to find some compatible fish that would fit the 29 gallon. Please help!

As has already been said, you should saunter down to your local fish store and see what you like. Write down all the fish that catch your eye, and you can list them here. We can eliminate the ones that grow too big, or are incompatible.

I just bought another fish tank... a 15 gallon one for cheap cheap cheap! So I will need fish for that...probably just guppies and bottom feeders. I am thinking about Lemon Yellow Cichlids for the 29 gallon. I guess they dont get too big.
