the only thing that they recommended and will actually work is a betta or a dwarf frog. how they came up with an idea of putting a pair of sea horses in a gallon jar is beyond me!

That is a pretty :%):%):%)article. I do believe that those "projects" are possible and might turn out "successful". But by successful i mean the fish wont die, however there is no way that the conditions for them will be ideal and that they wont live lives of extreme stress.

A Bumblebee Hive: Add enough rocks to half fill the bowl, stack them to make as many little caves as possible. Add about 3 Bumblebee Gobies and now you have a Bumblebee hive.

Just add water and....you've got a bumblebee hive?
sounds like a recipe(honestly, it does)...
...for a disaster!

A Seahorse Corral: Add an undergravel filter with aragonite gravel and a small live rock, get yourself a pair of dwarf seahorses. It's an interesting and novel aquarium project.

I have seen this done before......at a public aquarium! with some kind of seahorses, babies, dwarves, idk

yeah right...one undergravel filter???
