I have 2 bottles, they both have no ingredients list, which leads me to believe they are just pure ammonia, but I'm scared to use them just in case...and how much ammonia do you add? I'm also going to use New Improved Cycle...

No color, no scent. Means you should be okay for using it. Here is a site that has step by step directions and information on fishless cycling.

Babel, by no scent did you mean no added perfume? Pure ammonia has a strong odor *pfew!*
The ammonia I used was a brand the grocery store I bought it from makes. You just have to check the bottle and make sure there aren't any additives. My bottle says "Contains no phosphorus" and it says "Ingredients: soft water, ammonium hydroxide, quality control agents". Evidently the quality control agents are ok for the fishies
