| How can you tell whether your household ammonia is ok for fishless cycling? | |

Pure ammonia has a strong odor *pfew!* The ammonia I used was a brand the grocery store I bought it from makes. You just have to check the bottle and make sure there aren't any additives. My bottle says "Contains no phosphorus" and it says "Ingredients: soft water, ammonium hydroxide, quality control agents". Evidently the quality control agents are ok for the fishies ![]() |
