If the tank has a straight long bit (as opposed to a curved one) the volume would be

(length*width)/2 = y

y*depth

As an estimate I calculated your tank being 14" H 16"W and 20" long....for approximatly 20 gallons US. As it is now that's already WAY too small for the fish that you have in there. Fancy goldfish, the two shubunkins, and bubble eye would need a 75 gallon tank because they do grow quite large. Additionally goldfish and catfish are known for needing additional gallons because of the ammount of waste they produce.

If you do want to keep the goldfish and catfish I'd suggest a 75 gallon if not 100+ (remember they'll need one with the largest footprint/surface area possible)

The black widows and WCMMs would be rather happy in the corner tank you have now.

^_^

What you have is a 14.5 inch cube with a corner cut off.

14.5 X 14.5 = 210.25 Minus the cut off corner.
6.5 X 6.5 /2 = 21.13 Makes 189.13 sq. inches X 14 = 2669.68 cubic inches or about 11 gallons.

Have a good one, Mike

You Guys, Ive got an easy way!
first off, get a 2l jug and fill it to the 2l mark. pour that in the tank and measure how high an area the water is. Then measure how high the tank is. Divide the tank height by the water height and then times by 2. Thats how many Litres it holds. Same can be done for gallons

I wouldn't reccomend stocking solely by the "gallons" rule...surface area should be taken into account as well .
