I couldn't tell you what specific species it is, but it looks like a crayfish to me.

He's teeny tiney right now....about an inch or so, and his pinchers are even smaller so he really can't get any of my fish right now, but it might not be the case later when he gets bigger!

He could stay small, depending on his species. May I ask something (not trying to sound rude) but did you put this with your fish not knowing what it was? Never a good idea....

Well, yeah...kind of..... I thought it was a shrimp! Shrimp + fish = safe.......seriously, it looked like a shrimp----a ghost shrimp is what I was thinking it was. This thing is tiny; that's why I thought it was a shrimp. I've seen those blue crayfish at a LFS before and they are a lot bigger and bluer than this thing.

why me???

Looks almost like a juvenile marmor crayfish, I could be wrong though, but the piccie would need to be in sharper focus for me to tell for sure. Its already showing some scavenging talents in the pic. They get to about 12 cm. People do use them in community, but any shrimp that scavenges can be a danger to small fish. Its definitely no ghost shrimp.
