I havent bought anything yet, and I am wondering what the smallest, easiest to care for pufferer is and what are its tank requirements? Are there any other small fish I could stick with it? I was thinking mabey a 5g or a 10g size... ![]() ![]() |

I've got a few -really- large ghost shrimp in with my dps, and they seem to get along well. I actually bought the shrimp thinking that they'd be food, but the puffers just ignore them. I doubt that this would happen with most dwarf puffers, though. One male and two females would would be a good number for a 10 gallon tank. They love live plants and having places to hide. Edit: I haven't heard of any other puffers that can be kept in tanks as small as ten gallons, even as single specimens. Otherwise you could try a few cories as well ![]() Fish are like potato chips. . .you can't have just one ![]() |

After about 2 weeks, neither dwarf bothered any of the other fish. They mind their own business and just hunt for snails. I guess it just depends on the disposition of the puffer. |

I'd like a 5g, but I may upgrade my 10-15 (not entirely sure how many gals it is) to a 20, then use it for puffers. Do you think I could put pandas in there? ![]() ![]() |
