	I have a garfish, i think?

Anyone know what a spotted garfish should look like? aparantly i have two, both only 7" long, silver, with a black spot at the base of the tale. i have looked on the net but when i type in garfish, they are all saltwater species with long jaws, my pairs jaws are not like needles, but are more like that of a pike, with lots of small sharp teeth. any help is appreciated. thanks james
