Hey folks,

I was just at the LFS when I ran across a lone sterbai cory. I wasn't planning on adding any fish. But I've been looking to increase my group of two, so I scooped him up.

Now the problem, I normally put new fish in a QT for a couple weeks before adding them to my big tank. But my QT is being used to treat my black neons for ich. Should I add the new cory to the QT where the neons are being treated, or add him to my big tank?

Thanks

I wouldn't add the Sterbai Cory to the QT, as you have the Neons that are being treated for Ich.

yeah, cories are sensitive to ick meds. Just add him to your tank and cross your fingers he's not sick, he'll be happier in a group anyway.

I decided the same thing and now he's acclimating in the big tank.

Thanks

Jason,

After acclimating him, I put him in the tank & I was a little worried as he seemed very stressed. But within about a minute another cory came over and nudged him and within 15 minutes he was swimming around with another sterbai.

This morning he's very active, so I think he's going to do well.
