Just be carefull with overstocking your tank & keep up the water changes regulary.

A school of 6/8 Neons & a Dwarf Gourami will be fine.

Does the tank have live plants? In a densely planted 10 gallon, I would be comfortable with putting as many as 15-20 neons in it. My 10 gallon, which is heavily planted with Anubias, Hygrophilia, and Java Moss, has 5 corys and 10 pencilfish in it (and the water is perfect and the fish are happy).

If the tank does not have live plants however, I probably wouldn't put any more than like 8 neon tetras.
