| Ideas for my 50L tank... | |
the_anigma![]() ![]() Small Fry Posts: 14 Kudos: 8 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Sep-2004 ![]() | I've got a two foot long tank that, once it has gravel, plants...etc, holds roughly 50L of water...probably a touch more. I have 3 goldfish in it, but i've been told that's a bad idea, as they grow too big. So i might trade them with my LFS and get something better suited. SO, has anybody got any ideas about what i might be able to safely keep! I'm only a beginner so whatever i put in will have to be reasonably hardy ![]() Last edited by the_anigma at 06-Oct-2004 22:13 |

Livebearers like platies or guppies would work as well. Maybe visit lfs in your area, see what's available and interests you and let us know A lot of the [link=profiles]http://www.fishprofiles.com/profiles/fw/" style="COLOR: #FFFFC0[/link] here also mention if a particular species of fish is hardy or requires special care.Good luck ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

If it was me I'd do the Kribs or the Shellies. You should look at some fish at the LFS and get back to us with the names os some that you like. Someone here will tell you the pros and cons of each. Have fun, Mike |

They grow to 2 feet+ and need the space for it....For a 50L....13 gallon tank.....stick with fish that will remain 2" or less.....White cloud mountain minnows may work, although they generally enjoy swimming room and space...rasboras, smaller tetras, or a few female bettas, killifish, or with the right ph some of the smaller shellies. ^_^ ![]() |

Again Goldfish are pond fish to compair them to a tropical like a neon is like compairing a marmoset gorilla. ^_^ ![]() |
