If there are lots of hiding spots and they've been doing good for a while, chances are it just died and the others saw it as food and started in on it. |

judz Enthusiast Posts: 256 Kudos: 160 Votes: 5 Registered: 06-Jun-2005 | i have never seen a fish attack a live frog even when the frogs were taking on my big pleco. but the question is would a pleco kill another fish/frog? i know they would eat them if dead, but would they make them that way? |

Falesha13 Hobbyist Posts: 52 Kudos: 65 Votes: 5 Registered: 21-Jan-2006 | I had a small Koi for a while (I was babysitting him)and I saw him try to eat my albino african clawed frog. He had his entire leg in his mouth and my poor frog was kicking frantically with its free legs trying to free himself. I rescued him from the Koi's mouth by tapping on the glass and removed him to another tank that didn't have any fish in it. His leg was really torn up and became infected. I treated the water with antibiotics but sadly he never recoverd and died about a month later. Needless to say that fish went straight back to its owner with a string scolding from me. |
