I have my dwarf puffer in a 2.5 gallon tank by his self. And I was wondering.. is it ok to do 100% water changes like once a week? OR should I like do 50% water changes once a week? Thanks..

Ok thanks. I did a 100% water change just yesterday.. I didnt know if it would be too stressful for him, and that maybe he could die or something from the stress. But thanks again

But you dowant the tank to cycle & notwith your puffer in there. Do 50% water changes every other day, if you have not cycled the tank.

Of course it can! Any tank, even a betta bowl, will grow nitrifying bacteria.

100% water changes are hard on any fish, especially, a fish as sensitive as a puffer.
