Large Worm In Tank | |
sunspotkat Hobbyist Posts: 80 Kudos: 33 Votes: 11 Registered: 24-Feb-2006 | I was cleaning my 55gallon this evening and almost sucked up a large red worm. It got away from the siphon and buried itself in the gravel. I gather from searching this site and the internet that it is some kind of nematode. I was just wondering if it is harmful or if it can live in the tank in peace. I have no idea where it came from. I have never seen it before and I haven't added anything to the tank in several months. I took it out and put it in a bowl just in case. I estimate it to be about 5-6 inches long.
