Male and two female fighters?
not good. it can be done but not for the common fish keeper just wanting to add color.

Male and two female fighters?

That is a very dangerous combination. If they aren't breeding, male and female fighters (bettas) should never be kept together.

I would suggest gouramies.

I would vote for a male betta for that size tank.

If you had a bigger tank I would vote for Texas Cichlids <wink]

Blue Colombian Tetras ? Need more then 3 though ?

Blue Emperor Tetras/ Don't neccessarily need a school.

dan. they are too small, and not all blue.

He wants a solid blue fish, not too light, not too dark, and larger then 2". =p

I'm looking for a good light coloured brilliant blue fish of any species, which could fit in a 20G tank.

Preferably a species that's a bit bigger, could fit at least 3 of in a 20G

If you have any ideas, thanks!

My blue spot platy has great color. Dwarf gouramis are a nice blue. You could also have one paradise fish, I got one not long ago and he's my new favorite

I'd have to say blue dwarf gouramis as well, I have 2 in my 55gal and they have brilliant coloring. One has an almost purple undertone to the blue (prob. from our plant light). Two of the prettiest fish in my tank and very personable... come right to me at feeding time.
