I have a 55g tank currently stocked w/ kissing gouramis, corys, 2 botias, and 1 lonely rasbora. The rest of the rasbora school has long since passed on, and I would like to replace them with something new. (I like rasboras, but the ph of the local tap water is about 7.8 - good for everyone else, but not the rasboras. I'd like to lessen my chemical purchases, if I can.) Something kind of flashy would be nice, as my toddler likes to watch the tank, but it's not as important as the swimming range/schooling. Any suggestions? Price isn't a problem -the corys breed pretty prolifically, and the LFS here offers a fish exchange - livestock credit for all healthy fish brought in.

Clarification - I only mention the price thing b/c I remember another thread that debated the merits of cardinal v. neon tetras based on price. As long as a small starter school doesn't exceed my current credit, I can add more over time as I exchange corys.
