	Molly's Tank
fishman24 Fingerling Posts: 32 Kudos: 25 Votes: 4 Registered: 11-Aug-2003	hi all, i have a ten gallon tank and i am thinking about turing it into just a molly tank. i heard from a very reliable source that they would be very happy fish if the water was almost brackish. is this true? thanx

I think it might be sailfins... like fresh water when they're very young and transition to full salt. sailfins are really too big for a 10 gallon anyway... mollys do get pretty big though so you could probably only keep a couple, i LOVE the lyretails though i always stop to stare at the black lyretails at the LFS

So_Very_Sneaky Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3238 Kudos: 2272 Votes: 201 Registered: 10-Mar-2004	Pretty much all mollies get too large for a 10g tank. They enjoy swimming space and room. Balloon Belly mollys stay smaller, but are physically deformed/handicapped, whichever you want to call it. I would recommend platies or guppies or some types of killifish for a 10g.
