my vote would be red devils; allmost the same kind of fish as a midas. They may not be considered small though, i think the FP profile is wrong. Any reason is specific you're looking for aggressive fish?

Male convict, Arrowhead puffer, Congo puffer, and Green spotted puffer would all rank fairly high in this group.

Red Devils grow much larger than 7". More like 10-11" at least. Midas grow much larger...more like 16" for jumbo males.

i hate to say it, but that sounds like a crap plan. Keep an aggressive fish in a small cheap tank because you love aggressive fish... i'll doubt if you find anyone eager to help you. I know I'm not about to with that bit of knowledge.

try african cichlids there are alot that stya under 7" that r aggressive they dont require much in the way of spending alot filter heater n rocks u can pick up anywhere they dont really need any live plants or anything
but i wood recoment demasoni i believe they stay under 7"
