TigerAngel![]() ![]() Fish Addict Posts: 522 Registered: 22-Feb-2004 ![]() | To move the fish: That sounds like a great idea. Get some coolers and put in their water from the tank. Don't forget to add battery power air stones to keep up with the air. If they don't like the dark, leave the lids off, don't fill the coolers with too much water.(this saves the water from spilling out) Enough so the fish are happy and won't get hurt in the move, and put some mesh, like netting or stocking, on the top so the fish won't jump out. To move the tanks: Remove everything. Put the substrate into buckets. Put the furiture/plants/decorations also into buckets. If live plants put in their own water, with lids. (for spills) Do not leave anything in the tank, as it will move/slide and accidents are bond to happen. Wrap the lids in paper to stop scratching and chipping. Leave the fish moving to the last moment, and the first thing at the other end. This is to delay then from getting cold, as you won't have a heater on for them. You will lose all your bio, except perhaps the water in the coolers and buckets, as they are still being supplied by air. Your tanks will have to recycle again, so be prepared for cloudy water, fish lost etc again. Hopefully you won't lose any. Good luck with the move. Don't forget the battery power air stones.!! |
