Or how about harlequin rasboras? Nice color, good schoolers.

Although this is kind of funny considering the title of this thread is My final choice on stocking

I got my information on gold mollies from http://www.centralpets.com/pages/fish/freshwater_fish.shtmlIt states there that they only grow 2 inches

6 zebra danios
6 cories
1 honey gourami <---smaller than the dwarf
2 cherry barbs

I like this plan a lot, but from what I've read don't honey gouramis prefer to be in pairs or shoals? If they are alright singly then yes, either a honey or dwarf.

I would say 3" is minimum length for a molly, they are larger than platies or guppies.

hca--there are three different species that are in the aquarium trade that go by the name of 'molly.' The sailfin variety reach 5+ inches. The gold molly, Poecilia sphenops reaches 2.5.

Even though the mollies reach 2 inches, I still think it'll over stock the tank.

I would do:
6 zebra danios
6 cories
1 honey gourami <---smaller than the dwarf
2 cherry barbs

Even this is slightly overstocked, but if you have good filtration and keep up on water changes, you should be fine.

mollies get 4-5 inches, way bigger than 2 in., i'd drop the mollies, and have one dwarf gourami.

I did a study on gold mollies and it didnt say anything about them needing brackish waters. Also they only get about 2 inches. Also i change my mind about the gourma they look to big. So this is my choice if im correct about the gold molly
6 zebra dainos
6 cories
2 cherry barbs
3 gold mollies (if correct about them not being in brackish water)
if not
6 zd
6 cories
2 cherry barbs
and maybe a few blue dainos
will that over stock if i do a water change every week and check water levels?

I agree... instead of danios, get a school of a smaller species of tetra (such as glowlites, black neons or cardinals). Also if you want more color, what about guppys? If you don't want babies, get 2 or 3 males.

Yes....mollies ARE brackish, but when pertaining to mollies, "brackish" means "can tolerate salinity changes very well." Mollies do great in full FW, normal BW, and full SW

That said, Mollies get too big, and would put add too much to the bioload of the tank with that many fish already in there. I'd skip on the Mollies too

I'd get 6-8 Tetras instead of Danios (Danios are evil 'lil things)...they're more colorful

Cherry barbs do well in pairs and have good color.

Yeah, I had an aggression problem with two gouramis in my 20 gallon. Stick with one as your centerpiece fish. Now I have one powder blue and one flame red in my 50 gallon and they're doing great.

I'd also avoid the mollies, and stick with one gourami so there's no problem with an aggression between the two...

PM/email/msg me if you have any questions/comments regarding me or my knowledge or if you want me to read a thread.

If I were you I wouldn't add the mollies. They are a brackish fish, which means they need salt in their water. And the other fish you listed wouldn't be able to live in the brackish conditions.

This is how I'd suggest stocking the tank:
6 zebra dainos
6 cory puntatus
1 powder blue dwarf gourami
