justin84![]() Fingerling Posts: 45 Kudos: 30 Votes: 20 Registered: 08-Dec-2004 ![]() | I had an Oscar for 3 years and decided to get something new. I sold him to my pet store and bought 9 guppies and 3 spotted cories. Im not aiming to breed the guppies but when it happens im just going to letthe fry stay in the tank and let nature take its cource. With that said what are some good tank mates? 9 Guppies 3 Spotted Cories ? What Else? Thanks, Justin 55gal Tank:130 watt coral lights,Eheim Wet/Dry 2227 Canister Filter,Powerhead, Co2 Injection and a heater. |

What type of tank are you looking for, slow and peaceful, or active and fun ? ^_^ ![]() [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] ![]() |

Stay away from tetras they're rather slow and boaring....look towards barbs, and such. I'd do 12+ corys possibly even two schools for 24 corys 12+ gold barbs and 12+ WCMM's with some driftwood, sand or small gravel as the substrate and some java fern ....wait that's my tank isnt' it .^_^ ![]() [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] ![]() |

Tiger barbs are semi-aggressive/fin nippers, but most other species are quite peaceful. ![]() I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash. |

Once comfortable in the tank they're quite active. Rainbowfish are a very good choice; danios are also active fish. I was also thinking about hatchetfish which would give you some fish in the top portion of your tank. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

My tetras (pristellas, glowlights, buenos aires), are all constantly moving, great schoolers, exciting to watch. I would highly reccomend glowlight tetras in a large school they are truly impressive. Danios are also constantly on the move, so are hatchet fish, mollies, platys, etc. Pearl gouramis are beautiful and active, and I would also reccomend rainbowfish of any type- they dont stay still for more than 5 minutes. A flying fox is also very active, so are loaches, as are SAE's. I could name a million fish! Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |
