Hey all,

I have been posting about my 55 community that i have started and I need some help finishing the stocking.

Right now I have

6 zebra danios
5 Harlequin Rasboras
1 Glass Cat
1 Common Pleco
3 Guppies 2 male/1 female

I got rid of the black widow and white tetra I had and I lost 2 female guppies over the last month or so. After Xmas I want to start to get more fish...

I know I want

5 more Harlequins
5 more glass cats
2 more female guppies

now i would also like to get more fish and here is what i was thinking of adding. Note this is a combo of ideas and I would not add all these fish. I would like some suggestions as to what would be good for me.

I would like to add

10 (or so) Cardinal tetras or other schooling fish on the small side

3 Platys or Swordtails or Mollies

Pair of Angels (not with the cardinals)

Pair of Bettas Male/Female

What about ADF's?

Any suggestions as to what i could/should do? Thanks in advance...

I think I would like the main focus of my tank to be the Harlequins and the other school of (whatever) tetras that i get. I love the Harlequins I think they are quite eye-pleasing...

the other suggestions are fish i would like to see in the tank for some color and substance.

your adding seems fine except I think u need a little bit more female guppies, I say add 4 instead of 2 female guppies makes a good balance.

And Betta pairs can't really exist...like you cannot see the male and female swim happily together but the female can survive in there if u provide hiding places

And it is possibly that betta doesn't like your guppies and on the other hand the danios and guppies might nip at the betta's long tail and fins

Cardinals are good choice, they stay small and peaceful and with impressive colour

Instead of a M/F pair of bettas you could try 2 females, in a tank that size it would probably work.

Or you could get some sort of gourami instead.

ADFs would be fine in your tank. IME they don't bother the fish and vice versa.

Another completely different thought would be cories or loaches for the bottom.

If that Pleco is a common one, it will grow very big.........

Pearl Gourami are quite beautiful & really colorful.

A series of commons I kept (in my 125) went from 3" to 10" within six months, and then grew only slightly slower when moved to the pond. They'd pass 18" before I returned them in September.
So I'd worry about stunting with yours, I'm afraid.
