	New 10Gal And Betta
sodaaddict84 Enthusiast Posts: 255 Kudos: 108 Votes: 52 Registered: 02-Nov-2006	well i posted about a new 10 gal tank, so i got it setup. today i went and got a betta, he's got the tank to him self. i was wondering what else i could put with him? i want a little bit more color if i can, or a little more activity click flash *click "whered he go???"

We currently have a pair with a betta in a 5.5g with no problems. For the most part the other small schooling fish won't bother a betta either. I've kept neons, lemons, glowlights, and harlequins with bettas. The only two types of fish I personally wouldn't recommend are danios and tiger barbs. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean

sodaaddict84 Enthusiast Posts: 255 Kudos: 108 Votes: 52 Registered: 02-Nov-2006	it wasnt cycled but i took the filter pad out of my 29 gal, and its clipped to the inside. im keeping an eye out, but i think im gonna put him in my 29 till the cycle done. then bring him back. hes the only one in right now. but im gonna get some harleys today and put them in. i have a empty arrowhead gallon bottle. i cut and openings on the sides and silliconed nets in the openings(allowing water to flow through). i think ill use this to contain the betta while the 10 gal cycles click flash *click "whered he go???"

Some people have luck keeping them together, others don't. Have you considered an ADF? ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean

Even with my rubbernosed pleco and yo-yos with no problems. I love the ten with the betta and neons, although I had set out to find some cards originally. Hard to find cards here in the chicagoland area for some reason. hmmm, perhaps its a seasonal thing, I know I've seen them in the past.
