im looking at ugrading to a 60x18x24 inch tank, the fish i already have that will go in there are 3 denisoni barb and 1 discus.
what are suitable bottom feeders an schooling fish for a tank kept at a temp of 30c and soft water to suit the discus?

so its roughly 115 gallons. you could put cardinal tetras in their or white skirt tetras. for bottom feeders try a school of 10-20 cories or a pleco. yoyo loaches would maybe work.

Even though I have no personal experience with discus, however I am currently setting up a 45 gallon for them, I think I would at a minimum add 5+ more discus to the tank. With a tank this large you could add even more and if planted would make a very nice display.

Along with this discus you could add a large school of cardinals and a school of cory's also.

I agree with the above, more discus as they're a very skittish schooling fish that will be much more at home with others of their kind.

I also echo the vote for cardinal tetras, or rummynose tetras. Fish in a big group are enough to keep the discus happy, as if there are loads of small fish around, there can't be a predator, but the discus are large enough to keep the smaller fish in a school. Really quite a sight
