I don't think you could fit very many in a 32 gallon. They need a lot of space, the general rule is 20 gallons for the first one, and 10 gallons more for each additional discus. It isn't recommended to keep them in twos or threes, because one will become dominant, and bother the other discus constantly. With more discus, the aggression is spread out. I would go for one, and some other fish, maybe some tetras.

in a tank that small i would skip discus all together. Not only do they require alot of space, they also need good water quality, which may be hard to matain in your tank unless you wanted to do water changes a few times a week.

Ditto....discus wouldn't fit in a 32 gallon....I believe the minimum for discus is a 55 gallon, not only for space but also because of the superior water quality they need.

I think the only way you might be able to get discus in there is if you have it for just a breeding pair which means finding one which can cost £120+ and prices like that region and then you will have to do water changes like once every two days. Even when you have done that because you have never kept them before you will have the trouble of babys dieing on you because they are really difficult to care for and that is heart breaking and that would be your tank then, just 2 Discus swimming around and usually just staying still with babies probably dieing.

Does that sound very interesting?

Not really eh.

So what you should do is wait til you have a bigger tank around 55-70g and then maybe start.

For this tank go with something like a few peaceful cichlids and then a BN for algae and a school of Neons or Cardinals or maybe some Corys. In my opinion that would be a much better tank.

I was just wondering if you could even fit one in. I know they need a large amount of space. I am not even going to attempt to put one in, it was just a thought.
