I run an AC 500 and AC 300 on my 90 SA tank... I really should have more. It has 2 oscars, a 12 inch pleco, 2 severums, a few BN's and 3 Emerald green catfish. I have to clean the filters every 2 weeks .. i altenate them so im actually cleaning one once a week. Its not that i like cleaning the filters .... but once they get full the baskets pops up and lifts the lid .. letting you know it needs to be cleaned.

After having the 90's for a few years i really wish i had gone with bigger tanks. A 6 foot 120-140 would have been a much better choice. Id say go for as much as you can afford.

I believe its a fish tank ment to hold water, Ill ask the prior owner if he used it for fish. A ball python would definitely be cool, I still have a baby cornsnake in my old 20. Didnt know anyone here kept snakes! Thanks

You can definetly fit more than that in the tank as far as bioload goes. Not sure what JD aggression is like, may want to bo with another oscar and some dithers like giant danios.

Heck of a deal on that tank. 2 500's should cover the filtration no prob. Id just set the intake tubes at different heights.

Also as it is a used tank make sure you check seams before filling it. Also make sure that it was a fish tank not a reptile tank. Reptile tanks dont require as thick of glass as it doesnt have the water pushing against it.
My 90 has a glass thickness of 3/8" so it needs to be at least that thick. If not get a big boa or python, maybe even a minotaur lizard.

I got it at a local internet selling/buying kinda place. Im just glad I found it so that my oscar, JD, and pleco wont outgrow the tank before the new one gets set up.

Ok so I just bought a 60"x23"x13" for 100$ with a stand and filter so its about 110 gallons i think. With 2 Aqua Clear 500's Could I get away with more then an Oscar common Pleco and a JD? Just wonderin
P.S. if any more can fit, id prefer some sort of SA cichlid

Ok so the bigger the better, now im starting to think about maybe a 120g. Anyone know where I could get my hands on a tank like that? How much more would a custom job be?
Thanks!

i agree with Bdadawg. the best way to make sure everyone is happy is to take what you think should be the best tank for the fish and go up one more size.

Right now ive got a 55 gallon with 1 4" oscar, 1 4" Jack Dempsey, and a 5" common pleco. (I got the JD and Pleco because my friend had them in a 29g) So anyways, I was thinking of starting a new larger tank to put my current fish in so they will have a good home. What size can all the fish fit comftorably in. Which is a common aquarium size that will happily support all my fish?
Thanks!

Allright so a 90 would be preferable?, no im not going to add more fish, just want those 3. Another question, would putting another filter on there help with the bioload for now? I have a 20g filter I could put on if it would help in addition to the penguin 330

Not to mention that the pleco will get very large (over 15 inches, usually) and produces tons of waste as well. At least 90 gallons would be preferable.

Are you thinking of adding any more fish? If so, what?
