I picked up some Featherfin Rainbow Fish (amoung many other names) today. But I was wondering if they require any salt in there water or not.

If so, how much.

Thanks!

No, they don't need any salt. But a few tips feed them small foods like baby brine shrimp, crushed flake or daphnia. Clean water keeps them happy.

Iriatherina werneri also known as the Threadfin Rainbowfish.
Phloyd is correct about the food, they have very small throats and large pieces of food can be a problem.
Like all Rainbows, they are active, need to be kept in groups, and prefer a well planted tank. While by no means an overly sensitive fish, they do appreciate clean water and low nitrates as this will bring out their best colors and they will be more active, so regular water changes are a must.

Ok, it's been about 30 hours or so since I have had them now, and I haven't seen them eat a single thing.

I've tried various types of small crushed flakes, small crushed pellets, even small crushed up dried seaweed.

Should I just continue to wait and see if they settle in better or what?

See if your LFS carries frozen baby brine shrimp. They may do better on that. That is what I always feed mine.

I can get frozen and live brine shrimp, though the live would be a HUGE waist of money as I don't have a way of keeping them long.

I also have frozen bloodworms, would those be ok to put in and see what happens or is that not a proper food source? I know the lfs I got them from said not to feed them blackworms.

The bloodworms would be ok, not as a staple but as treat. But make sure to job them up into small pieces, I think an entire bloodworm would be difficult for a Threadfin.
