A late Christmas present, I noticed tonight that I'm tired of the current rocks and gravel in the tank. I was always disappointed because I couldn't spoil the fishies with occasional toys like I can my cats. Then I decided... I can give them some new decor!! Can't wait to get it. Our tank: 45 gallons 7x Cardinal Tetras 7x Black Neon Tetras 7x Glowlight Tetras 2x Ottos 2x Ghost Shrimp 3x Spotted Corys 3x Panda Corys |

But then I'm one of those that hide the filter intake tube & the heater with something else. But to me it's worth it. Does make it challenging though! For a treat I give my fish the smallest piece of meat from the table. Not anything fatty, but shrimp or chicken or fish or turkey. They love it! Have fun MtbGirl! |

I was a bit worried about them because they seemed to pale, but they are back to normal now and seem to be enjoying their new surroundings. Here is the new tank, forgive the blurriness but I was trying to get a shot of the whole thing. You might notice Herbie clinging to the glass towards the right, near the thermometer... http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k16/PanClan06/IMG_1373.jpg Here is a closer shot of the driftwood and gravel, I like this picture because the colors really "pop." http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k16/PanClan06/IMG_1380.jpg Our tank: 45 gallons 7x Cardinal Tetras 7x Black Neon Tetras 7x Glowlight Tetras 2x Ottos 2x Ghost Shrimp 3x Spotted Corys 3x Panda Corys |

Forgive the blurriness, they were camera-shy and would not stay still!! http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k16/PanClan06/IMG_1386.jpg Our tank: 45 gallons 7x Cardinal Tetras 7x Black Neon Tetras 7x Glowlight Tetras 2x Ottos 2x Ghost Shrimp 3x Spotted Corys 3x Panda Corys |

Before we had blue gravel and rock ornaments that looked like they belonged in the ocean rather than a riverbed. I figured the tetras would feel more at home in with the driftwood and pebbles. Now my husband has me thinking of getting a background so we can't see through the back of the tank. Looks like he's hooked too!!
