I have a 29 gallon tank that I have had running for about 5 months. I went by the LFS and they know have golden rams in stock. I would love to add them to my tank. Do I have room.

2- powder blue dwarf gourami
9- Glow light tetras
5 pepper corys

would a pair of golden rams be ok.

I THINK they would be ok. Are your Gourami's both male? If so, after a while they will compete for food. So if they are and you returned one, then you would definately have enough room

I think a pair of rams would be fine in that tank!

As Tetra Fan said, if the Gourami are both males, return 1 to the LFS & get a pair of Rams.

I know you weren't asking about the gouramis, but since the consensus on the rams seems clear, I'll add one more comment about the gouramis (I hope you don't mind).

If the store won't take one back & you can't find someone to give him to, then it would be helpful to try to create two separate territories for them by having some floating plants at both ends of the tank. Hopefully they'll each choose one and leave the other guys alone.

you're fine with adding 2 rams, they don't get that big, the worst that'll happen is your corries will get poked at a bit. I've got 2 rams in my tank and they haven't nipped a fin, just lots of bumping and charging if there's any chance of food being around, or a fish that steals food from them.
