The Rainbowfish wouldn't, but the Pictus Cat probably would if it catches it.

I highly doubt it could catch it, but shini's right.. if it can eat it, it will try.

Pictus could for sure if it were to catch it, it'll eat whatever it can fit in its mouth. They're also schooling and need a large tank for swimming room .

^_^

Yeah, Pictus will eat anything 2.5" and under. They're pretty fast, too. I wouldn't test its abilities.

Oh dear best I either go for giant danios then :88) or change my mind about the pictus Is there anything that's like the pictus that would be safe with leopard danio? What about clown loach? (I know I would need more than 1 of those as I would the pictus) Any ideas would be nice please thanks

Clowns would definately be a safer (and better looking) choice. Unfortunately they grow massive and with a shoal of them..... dilemmas.

Ok i think i will go with the clown loach but first of all i need to check would it be ok with just 2 and would 2 be ok in a 42uk gallon (which I believe is 50us gallons). measurements are 120cm X 40cm X 40cm. Cheers guys. Oh and will they be ok with plecos & corys?

Well I went for the pictus in the end and decided on giant danio. I like those yoyo loaches though would it be ok if I still got some of those? Would 4 be ok? 1 of my plecos was re-homed yesterday because he was very nasty to the other pleco and the pictus so he went to a friend with a 6 foot tank and is much happier. So on the bottom at the moment all I have is 2 pictus and 1 pleco I do want to get some corys though. The tank is a 42uk gallons which I believe is 50us gallons and It measures 120cm X 40cm X 40cm

42g is too small for pictus, they need a 75US.

Rubbish there's plenty of room in a 4 foot tank for 2 pictus they only grow to 4.6 inches each compared to 10 inches for the clown loach that's why I went for them. If it was a 2 foot or 3 foot yes but a 4 foot is 48 inches giving a 4.6 inch fish plenty of room.

The Pictus Cats I'm familiar with grow to nearly a foot in length. I've seen some appraoching that size.

i think the double stripe stays small, i have been contemplating putting 1 in a 30 gallon, if it is the kind thats gets too big i think a place in albany will take him for me, and sadly i think thats were my oscar may end up some day, he is causing a few problems at the moment and he is suffering in the end, but i am getting him a dream home, (well i would like it if i was a fish) i found some like 60 gallon or more blue and white "drums" they have been used for fish before (by my foolish dad) my dad kept feeder minows for icefishing in them, he also kept 5 cat fish thingys, it starts with a b (little help with the name?) that were like 10 inches long, they could turn and swim "comfortably" and if it asnt for me they would have starved! i fed the feeders bread "long before i had fish food" and i fed the cats OH BULPOUT!!!! thats the name i dont know about the spelling though ahem, i fed them the feeders and cleaned out their drum once a week, or wen it became filthy, at this time those were out side, before he kept just his minows in the bacement, rosy reds is the only name i remember and he kept them filtered but i dont know how much help that filter did i would have to find some sort of attachment to reach the bottom, and get the other water levels, the look, is round and looks like a 3.5 foot tank up and a 2.3 foot accrost, um does anyone know how to get the hm whats it called? well the stuff on the inside of a cylinder?
