I have a 12g tank with 6 White Clouds that hide most of the time. I was thinking of using a couple of female platies as dither fish and for some color. Any other ideas for dithers? I really don't have room for a school of tetras or any other schooling fish.

renoharps,

Interesting, I didn't know that White Clouds are skittish. Is the tank in an area where there is a lot of action in front of the tank?

Platies sounds good, maybe 2 males would be nice.

Ingo,

Yes, they can be timid, but that's why I bought 6 of them a year ago. They have their moments, but they spend a lot of their time huddled together in the plants. They're not in a high traffic area. Maybe 6 isn't a big enough school for them.

Will there be any agression with two male platies? I know that if I buy two females I'll probably have fry, but I can deal with that.

P.S. I got jealous of your 125g, so I went out and bought one. I'm doing Africans though; no plants. Too much work!

If you can handle the fry then I would suggest get 2 females instead

I should get a commission from the tank company then

Do you have a thread with pictures of it? Or is it not set up yet?

And, go check my log again, just look at the last 3 to 4 pages to see the major changes that I have performed .

You should give AGA a call. Maybe you can get something out of them! It's the exact same tank and stand.

I've been looking at your post ever since you started it. Beautiful tank! Excellent job!

My tank is cycling now, but it's not ready for pictures. I still have to add some more rock work and eventually some fish.
