I have 4 gourami (2 blue & 2 Pearl <surprisingly active> in it now, with 1 angelfish, & 1 Common Pleco (given to me by a friend) thats about it for now..any suggestions for what I should put in it?I have a 210 Penguin? which I am replacing with a 280 Emperor...MORE POWER. It also has a bubble disc. Thanks, JH visit my site for pics. www.joshovis.com |

I have one, and I'm glad I bought it. My fish seem to enjoy the current, and the water quality is a little bit higher. However, I wouldn't recommend you buy one. Your gouramis and angelfish don't much like current, and prefer still water. Just go with the filter upgrade, that will add more dissolved oxygen to your tank, and add a bit more water circulation, without being too much. EDIT: Oh, common plecos do get much too large for that size tank (18 inches or so). I would recommend preparing to move it, once the fish reaches six inches or so. Thanks for pointing that out, Babel. Last edited by sirbooks at 18-Nov-2004 11:03 |

I have them in all except the 10 gallon (which is running two filters and has all the water current it needs ).If it's a 30 gallon, (3') and not a 29 gallon, then I'd suggest an Aquaclear 301.....they did just change the names so I'm not sure if it's the same model number. Only thing to watch out for is that not every fish appreaciates motion. As a side note, I'm not sure but I think common plecos get too big for a 30 gallon. ^_^ ![]() ![]() |

I have a 55 gallon tank ready for him when the pleco gets large enough. I am a teacher and I have been helping the science teacher keep fish. We have 7 different aquariums set up! Next year we will start a saltwater. Thanks, JH |
