Ok so i was cleaning out my 30 gallon, and after playing around with my filter i managed to make it leak. I tried to fix it but i think it needs a new O-ring. Problem is stores are closed cuz its 9 o clock. To keep my tank aerated so the fishies dont die i took my air pump and hooked it up to my tank, and i took my small filter from my 2.5 gallon.( Its a small Intank whisper.) I know that its not great but its the best i can do... do u think my fish will makae it or should i do somthing else?

An air pump should take care of oxygenation if it's big enough. If you can, put filter floss from your filter into the little old whisper filter so that you at least retain bacteria so that you don't get a shot of ammonia overnight.

I'm thinking all the media won't fit into the new filter right? If so, I would then hang, suspend the media above the air stone or/and in the flow of the new filter. This should keep the bacteria alive and allow some functionality.

Well, it IS true it probably wouldn't all fit... I was thinking rolling it up somehow or maybe just using a piece of it... On the other hand, I don't know just how small the internal filter is. In any case, if you're going to place it directly in the tank I'd rinse it out in tank water before so you don't release a lot of organic waste back into the tank.
