Very cool fish, we have them locally in the lakes here. They get quite large- I once caught one around the 6 inch diameter size, so i assume they need around a 55g tank. You're average wild pumpkinseed grows to about 13" TL (I guesstimating--I've personally caught larger back in rochester). In the home aquaria, it will unlikely grow larger than 10" long. |
