It's gone!!!

I had three in the tank before I started cleaning! Honest!

Has anyone ever "lost" a fish before?

It's a bit of a worry to say the least, no fish, no carcass, no nothing.

My white cloud has been abducted

I lost a WCMM once, also. Or so I thought. Turns out he was looking for food behind one of the plants.

I think this one is gone.

But I'll be buggered if I know where.

I've looked under rocks, under the driftwood, behind the heaters and filters, nothing, nada, zip, it's gone.

but where!

It's probable somewhere outside of the tank. Get down on the floor and look really closely.
The people that lived in my house before me had a tank with White Clouds. About 6 months after living in this home I found a dried up White Cloud on the floor. Even with no furniture in the room I and the other people never saw this fish. The only reason I eventually saw it was because my cat kicked a ball behind the sofa. When I reached to pick the ball up, I noticed the fish.

Also if you have any fake ornaments in your tank that are hollow make sure the fish is not stuck up in one.

Hard to say...about a month ago I went away for a long weekend, when I got home my 4" blue gourami was missing. I checked everywhere outside the tank. Pretty much took apart the entire tank looking for it; inside the filter, decorations, etc. Never found a trace of it.

In my case the fish had seemed a bit out of sorts before we left, and I personally think it died and the other ate it.
