Because it also drains tap water. |

If you reuse the syphon water you are just putting all the gunk back in the tank and your gravel vac was pointless ![]() |

I would be using it to clean my filter. I just don't want the tap water coming out to. So if i shut the tap off, it will still suck stuff out? |

Then take the round tube off the end of the hose you already have and hook it to the four foot section. Start a gravity syphon and you can pull tank water out seperately. Or if you have enough hose on the python just cut a four foot section off the hose you have now. |

But if the drain is not at much of a different height, you're not gonna be able to get much suction for the gravel vaccing. |
