longhairedgit Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005 | Much as I love rainbows its worth remembering their true adult sizes before making their shoals too large, one year its like fine, fine , fine, then kerpow! youre overstocked with some very fast swimming fish. Dont push the shoal to more than 6 or 7. If youre having smallish tetras be aware that one day your RTBS might decide to carve a swathe through them during the night. They start off small and laid back, and then they tend to grow and do a spot of fish maiming during the night hours. If you want small species omit the RTBS.Eventually the RTBS will annoy the cories too. Might actually work better with the tetras, a couple of more rainbows, the loaches, a few more cories and no RTBS. |
