I bought a female gourami today, and my male gourami is being very aggressive towards her. I'm afraid to leave her in the tank, the only other tank I have set up is my 29 gallon with 6 rummynose tetras, and 2 angels in it. Would the gourami/angels be ok together? I'm going to move her into the 10 gallon tank hopefully tomorrow. Although I had promised my daughter she could put her beta in there...I wonder if a betta and a female gourami would get along?

Yup, my stepdad had 3 angels with a male gold gourami and a female snakeskin gourami, and a kissing gourami..

The male might be just establishing territory, might try pulling them both out, then re-arranging the tank.

I've had sparkling gouramis with an angel, now I have pearls with the same angel. No problems at all.

I keep a number of Gourami males and females with an Angelfish, absolutely no problems at all. Actually the Female Blue and the Angel often hang out together.

Gourami and a betta might be adifferent story though. I've kept female bettas with gourami ok, but not sure about a male.
