Is it a tetra, a danio, a killi or a goldfish? There are alot of fish referred to as golden. When we know what you mean by golden, we can tell you if a betta will work or not. I know you have alot of fish in your 10g now that don't belong there. Are you selling them all? If not, what are you keeping? Remember a 10g is small, so stocking choices are quite limited. |

I don't know what kind of pleco you have in mind, but avoid the common ones since they get over twelve inches. You don't really need one unless you are having a problem with algae, then in that case, go with an otto. I really don't know what kind of fish you have in mind. |

You've also written about 'golden fish' (here)...we really need to know what kind of fish you're talking about before we can help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

The common goldfish has the potential to grow 12 in. They require at least a 55gal tank. Bettas are tropical fish and will require a warmer temperature than a goldfish will. No you do not need a pleco, but if you would like a bottom feeder you could try to find some otto cats. You may want to try this in your aquarium: ^_^ ![]() ![]() |
