| Quickety Split Betta Fry Feeding! | |
Janna![]() ![]() Mega Fish Posts: 1386 Registered: 24-Aug-2003 ![]() | While I was on a vacation, my female betta somehow got into the male's side of the tank. They spawned, and I just got home to find some free-swimming fry. This wasn't supposed to happen! I was going to set up the 20 gallon as a betta breeding tank, and all would go well. Now I have free swimming fry with nothing to feed them. I can get brine shrimp eggs, but I've heard it can take up to 2 days for them to hatch. I don't want to lose any more fry than I'm sure have died from lack of food. What can I buy that will save them? They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |

Just make sure the water you put them in is really warm- they hatch quicker. And I also agree that the BBS really isnt a very good first food. I have tried it and mine always die b/c the BBS is too large for them. and i really dont think they will eat the flake food even if you turn it to powder- they dont even know its food to it. You may be able to use the liquid food- but your best choice would have to be the egg yolk until you get another live food like microworms Good Luck!!-kristin ![]() ~!!I lOve LiFe!!~ |
