In my 16 Gallon Fantasy Bowl I have 4 Danios. I actually have had them for like 2 years and they were my cycling fish.
2 of the Danios are totally FAT. I mean like nearly round in the belly.
I do not overfeed at all. I am guessing they are carrying eggs but for how long do they carry their eggs before laying them?
They have been way fat for a few weeks.
They are healthy, they swim all day and chase the others etc and eat fine so I dont think there is anything wrong with them. I have just never seen such fat lil Danios before.

If they are otherwise healthy I'd guess they're females. Not sure how long they carry eggs though.

I have glowlight tetras like that: no problem identifying the females!

I have two big fat ZD in my 29G too. So I guess these are females. The 3rd one is slim and lightning quick. I never managed to catch it out of my 75G after cycling. It could be a male? Too bad for them .
